Imagination Castle

Disneyland's kid-drawn fortress.

Architects at age six? It’s possible if you have a big imagination, and of course, it doesn’t hurt to have Disneyland back you up. The blueprints to what’s coined the “Imagination Castle” came from 16 young boys and girls (from all over Europe), who sketched designs of a castle using crayons and a bit of creativity. They were used by agency BETC to construct a real-life fortress in the streets of Paris, with the building incorporating some rather whimsical bells and whistles. Personally, we’re not sure we’d want Giraffes protecting our kingdom, but who are we to say trees aren’t the villains in this world?
