World Cup pinatas
Mucho Burrito smashes Mexico's World Cup competition.

Mucho Burrito took a hard swing at aligning its Mexican food restaurants with the Mexican national team’s World Cup journey. Working with agency Ds+p, the QSR conspired to strike a blow to Mexico’s competitors in a lighthearted way, creating piñatas (a staple of Mexican fiestas) in the opposing nation’s colours. Customers could take a crack at smashing the piñata to reveal some goodies inside. The idea was borne out of posters and wild postings created for the tournament, which required photographing real piñatas. Since it was already making the things, the agency figured why not have some fun and smash a few at the same time? Unfortunately for Mexico, the Netherlands piñata proved uncrackable on Sunday, and the team, along with this idea, will have to wait another four years.
