Ok. We all know you can’t force the grassroots support that leads to someone being a star on YouTube, Instagram or Vine. But as the money starts to follow this next generation of digital stars, some parents might be getting dollar signs in their eyes. Viacom Velocity is the U.S. media giant’s integrated marketing agency, which creates content for brands using the resources of its cable networks –¬†and, now, a new YouTube channel. It seems like the idea in this video, developed by Holiday Films and Nimble Content, is that your brand can work with Velocity to find the right social influencer for you and avoid these ridiculous tactics… But on the other hand, maybe it’s time for our kids to start earning their keep.
