And Toronto-based agency Zulu Alpha Kilo created a series of sassy ads for HomeEquity Bank’s rebrand to get that message across to potential Baby Boomer customers.
upthereIn one of the fun spots a young couple pushing a stroller admires Doris’ home, with the woman noting Doris “is getting up there.”

overheardOoopsie. It turns out Doris heard that getting up there comment.

spryDoris, it turns out, “is pretty spry” and “not going anywhere.”

lawnThe woman, who looks harmless in a pale-blue kerchief and pastel-pink blazer, then channels her inner Clint Eastwood and tells the couple to get off her lawn.

clintmemeScary, but way less scary than Eastwood’s endlessly meme-able character in 2008′s cult classic, Gran Torino.

endThe spot ads with a deep-voice man intoning in a voice-over: “Retire in the home you love with a Chip Reverse Mortgage from HomeEquity Bank.
