Cadbury has been tasting sweet victory with its now-infamous Eyebrow commercial, which was originally developed at Fallon in London, UK. Since airing in Britain, it’s become an internet sensation, attracting over four million views on YouTube. The confectionery company is now riding the chocolatey wave of success the ad has generated in Canada. It’s celebrating the ad’s September launch on Canadian television with a follow-up campaign in Vancouver and Toronto under the Dairy Milk brand, which is challenging Canadians to see how good they are at translating eyebrow language. The brand website, transit and commuter daily ads in both cities, online banners and a billboard at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto feature creative developed by Toronto’s The Hive. It depicts messages made up of different eyebrow shapes that can be decoded for, depending on the medium, the chance to win a prize or participate in a stunt executed at a particular time and place. This effort’s sure to raise some eyebrows. Get it?
