Inflatable concert hall

A music venue that can be packed up and moved.

An inflatable concert hall may sound far-fetched, but British sculptor Anish Kapoor and Japanese architect Arata Isozaki have shown they aren’t just full of hot air. They’ve created the hall, which can be popped up anywhere there’s enough space for the 30-metre-by-36-metre venue that can seat 500. The “Ark Nova,” a balloon-like structure, will tour areas of Japan hit by a 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
