Thinking outside the pizza box
Panago Pizza and Vancouver's Mercer Creative create a nod to Canada on cardboard.
We all know it’s what’s on the inside that counts, and the pizza box is no exception. But a bit of artful packaging is always a nice touch.
British Columbia-based chain Panago Pizza, which has roughly 190 locations across seven provinces, is celebrating the country in style, unveiling a new look to its boxes that encourages pie-ordering Canadians to “Share More Canada” this summer.
Thought up by Vancouver’s Mercer Creative, the brand’s AOR, the boxes’ illustrations – by artist Carson Ting – depict the best of Canada from coast to coast, from Louis Riel to lobster-eating to raccoons and the CN Tower.
Canada 150 may have passed but the boxes (with pizza inside, of course) will be available for order through the summer across Canada.
