The CBC’s Ben Didier has created an infographic that should have music nerds salivating. By charting what he says is an unscientific survey of band-naming trends, he’s produced some interesting findings, such as animal names are really overused, the use of odd punctuation really exploded in the 2000s and North American cities feature in band names more often than the rest of the world. But perhaps the ultimate takeaway is that band names tend to be odd.
