Can you read the signs?
True love needs no spoken words.
Directed by Australian Patrick Hughes, clocking in at over 12 minutes and with almost no dialogue, it helps to dispel the myth that for a video to go viral it needs to be short with some sort of a hook. Signs‘ story draws you in and compels you to watch to its end. This video won a 2009 Cannes Lion for being part of a Schweppes online film festival. I was so drawn in by the story I had no idea it was an advertisement or what it was advertising until I read the YouTube info panel. [Ed’s note – which is why we’re letting this one slide]
