Recycling blue bins in Edmonton are feeling…well…blue. Some people don’t understand them. So, they’re singing, um, the blues. That’s right. Developed by DDB Edmonton, a campaign for the city’s Waste Management Branch seeking to convey what materials do and don’t recylce, has seen 400 blue bins throughout the city mounted with motion-sensor devices. So, these bins are literally singing the blues – little ditties like ‘Yummy Tin Cans,’ ‘Magazine Buffet’ and ‘Tasty Cardboard.’ See, we weren’t lying.
