Shanghai-based Mars Architects were commissioned by the BMW Guggenheim Lab to create utility-based street furniture that could collect and store rainwater. So naturally, they made a bench. It’s got pin cushion-like seats that guide water into the container and is currently being tested in Mumbai, India. Let’s just hope these seats don’t spring a leak.
