Calling all storytellers. Stefan Sagmeister has a bone to pick with you. He doesn’t believe you’re a real storyteller. More specifically, he doesn’t think all creatives are storytellers. In this interview with FITC in Toronto, the design rockstar of Sagmeister & Walsh gave the industry a piece of his mind when it comes to the mass adoption of the term. He even rips into an article he read once about a roller coaster designer who proclaimed to be a storyteller, to which he lovingly responded, “No fuckhead, you are not a storyteller, you’re a roller coaster designer!” Got to give it to the guy, he knows how to tell a pretty good story.
