Cheap anniversary
Shell fills tanks up like it's 1984.
What’s that you say? Gas for only 39 cents a litre? And filling up our tank at those prices only means having to wait three early-morning hours in line at an Edmonton petrol station? Count us in! Thanks to Shell, some frugal drivers got to fill up like it was 1984. The company, which is celebrating it’s 30th year in Alberta, slashed its gas prices down a third of the price in eight different stations in the area. They even had their employees dress up in fluorescent clothing, wear scrunchies and dance as if they had just heard a Cyndi Lauper ’80s hit for the first time. You know, as one does in the prairies.
