For most of us, the camera on our smartphone is the only creative tool we’d need, with only the most dedicated photographers and videographers turning to a DSLR. Instead of changing our minds, Canon has decided to speak directly to the die-hards. Partnering with Toronto-based studio Free, the camera maker has set up The Creator Class, a online hub of creators documenting the lives and business of other creatives (ranging from tattoo artists to jewelery makers) across Canada in short videos shot using Canon cameras. The hub will also feature tricks of the trade so you, too, can get the most out of your non-iPhone videos.
