It’s another night in Austin during SXSW, and I’m feeling somewhat deflated by all the lines at the official badge holder music events. However, I suddenly stumble upon the Hustler’s Brass Band doing a street performance, drawing a huge crowd. Wow, my mood is instantly lifted. Talk about the power of music to make people come alive. The bands energy is amazing, encouraging people to start dancing in all styles: guys started breakdancing, one woman started shaking everything she had and everyone in the crowd cheered. Their bio describes them as the ultimate New Orleans party band and for me they instantly turned a walk down the street into a thrilling experience.
