The Banksy of calligraphy
Seb Lester has a gift for miraculous and precise hand lettering.
Many of us love typography, but Sebastian “Seb” Lester really loves it. So much so that the British artist, type designer and calligrapher has been dubbed by the BBC as the “Banksy of calligraphy.” A while back, a friend introduced me to his Instagram feed, which features short videos of Seb bringing his gift to life with miraculous ease and precision. There’s something truly calming about witnessing the creation of hand lettering, especially in today’s fast paced digital world. Seb’s most recent work is a giant mural on the streets of London.
