I had almost forgotten about the miniature books I once owned as a child. They were filled with tales about a rabbit called Peter. But when artist Karen Libecap and her surreal, itty-bitty illustrations came across my desk, I suddenly had a flashback to a memory stored deep in the recesses of my brain. Turns out, Libecap started out writing stories in tiny font and accompanying them with equally tiny pictures, much like the Peter Rabbit tales. Today, she continues this passion as a hobby outside of her day job drawing portraits and house renderings and uses Instagram to share her miniature creations, adding to the trend (read: Itty-bitty cars, food art, street art, and let’s not forget miniature aquariums) that never seems to grow old.
