Mirror Mirror on the wall
A new tech that reflects clothing onto a fully clothed person.
Makeup can be virtually applied to your face just by pointing a phone at your mug, and now a similar technology is being replicated for clothing. MyDesignLab, which is based in Korea at the Industrial Design KAIST school, is testing the capabilities of a mirror that can reflect clothing onto a fully clothed person. (Yes, that’s an oxymoron.) What essentially happens is a projector emits colour lights onto a person as they stand in front of a mirror, which has a sensor to detect their body movements. Not only can you virtually try on clothing using the Mirror Mirror system, but you can also design new items using an array of templates and colour palettes (see video below).
