Bad bicycles brought to life

This artist conceptualized bikes based on horrible attempts at drawing them.

Try this, if you have a piece of paper and pencil handy: draw a bicycle. It’s hard, right? We don’t know if it’s the way the frame connects or just not being able to remember what an actual bike looks like, but people seem to universally have a hard time drawing a bike that looks anything like the ones zipping past your office right now.

Italian-American designer Gianluca Gimini recently took a handful of these pitiful attempts at drawing and rendered them in glorious 3D to see what they would look like in your local bike shop. While some of them definitely have their problems – from looking structurally weak to missing the pedals altogether – some of these actually look rideable, if not downright stylish.
