Someone order a beer with their 5K run?
The Famous Canadian Beer Run & Festival is a run/walk-meets-craft beer fest with its very own cheerleaders.

This marathon gives the ol’ beer run new meaning.
In September, the first Famous Canadian Beer Run & Festival will be inaugurated with cold ones after a race. You have to love running/walking as much as the next guy (if the guy loves beer too, that is), and you must be able to make it the full 5K. The Toronto “run/walk-meets-craft beer and food festival” (organized by InFluence Marketing) will go from Ontario Place, wind through a closed-to-traffic route along the shore, and end up back at Ontario Place’s Heritage Square. That’s when the real fun begins.
When runners reach the waterfront again in the afternoon, they’ll be able to celebrate with sampling craft beer and ciders from Ontario brewers (and even some post-race eats) from Beau’s, Great Lakes Brewery, High Park Brewery, Sawdust City Brewing, among others. Oh, and there’s even an art installation for viewing pleasure along the Ontario Place route, which was created in collaboration with in/future: a transformative art experience. And if the post-beer reward isn’t enough motivation for you, don’t fret, RunTOBeer (a run club for beer lovers) will be on-site with some of their very “beer cheerers.”
