Winnipeg, sadly, doesn’t have the best rep. With a nasty nickname like Winterpeg, and its residents complaining about never having anything to do in the “Gateway to the West,” it’s no wonder teenage kids are found spending their summer holidays at home and in the basement. The truth is, Winnipeg is a pretty happening place. And a couple of kids, along with agency McKim Communications, is encouraging kids to Get Out of the Basement and be, well, a kid. The agency helped them document their Winnipeg adventures by training the teens to capture and edit video content, providing the equipment and even an editing suite at the shop. The videos and images are then uploaded to the blog site and social media channels.
