Kringl proves Santa is real
Zulu updates the app to make supporting charities even easier.
The folks at Zulu Alpha Kilo have already taken the time to spread some cheeky holiday cheer, but they’ve also helped out with something a little more kid-friendly.
First launched in 2013 to support Make-A-Wish Canada, the Kringl app helped keep the dream of Santa Claus alive by taking pre-recorded green screen scenes of him going about his work, which could then be matched to a user’s home (through the magic of AR) to show their children. This year, the app (which has already been downloaded 250,000 times in 150 countries) has not only been updated with increased functionality to make it work with more devices, but more partners have been added. In addition to the option to donate to Make-A-Wish, users in the U.S. can also donate to Toys for Tots, and Balsam Hill, the world’s largest online Christmas tree retailer. They’ve also signed on a group of partners that includes Thinkingbox, QA Consultants and influencer agency Paid to help improve the app’s reach. Check Saint Nick taking a break in our boardroom to check his list below and rest easy in the knowledge that deceiving your children can be easy, fun and can support some worthy causes.
