That tear is pretty
Just like snowflakes, none of these tear "micrographs" are the same.
We know that snowflakes are unique. But Dutch photographer Maurice Mikkers set out to show the same was true of tears. The result, his “Imaginarium Of Tears” project, seeks to transform the presumed weakness demonstrated by a tear into something beautiful. Mikkers “harvested” and photographed “psychic” tears, generated by an emotional response, and “reflex” ones, caused by cutting white onions or snorting water, for example.
