An eight-storey show of support

SapientNitro and Derooted make a larger-than-life statement backing everyone celebrating Pride Month in Toronto.

We’re reaching the end of Pride Month in Toronto, when the city comes together to show their ongoing support for LGBT communities in the city and around the world. But when every person and brand is flying a rainbow flag, some people might be looking for a bolder, more noticeable way to declare their support.

Agencies SapientNitro and Derooted worked with local property management company Allied REIT to install an eight-storey display on the side of one of its downtown buildings (which, coincidentally, happens to be where SapientNitro’s Toronto office is housed). A kiosk nearby allows visitors to have their photo taken and made part of the board, which displays them by arranging morphing dots in colours inspired by the Pride flag.

The installation has been running from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. every night since Tuesday, and if you’d like to see it for yourself or make your face part of the show of support, tonight’s the last night of Toronto’s Pride Month and your last chance to check it out.
