Agency Wars, alumni edition

The annual boxing fundraising gala will feature actual Power Rangers and grudge matches.

More than 150 boxers have duked it out for charity over the past six years at the annual Agency Wars boxing event. This year, some of them are returning to the ring in the “Alumni Thunder” edition, the Survivor: All-Stars of Toronto advertising industry pugilism.

The annual fight night, which has raised more than $100,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities, takes place Nov. 30 at the Masonic Temple.

Topping the ticket is a celebrity grudge match between two former Power Rangers: Matt Sadowski, a copywriter and director at Elemental who played the Red Ranger on Powers Rangers S.P.D., and former Blue Ranger Chris Violette, an actor and videographer and occasional rapper (you can watch him rhyme about his intentions on the event’s Facebook page).

Former Olympians Mark Simmons and Mandy Bujold are coaching the red and blue teams, respectively, and the boxers participated in a 12-week training program from Clancy’s Boxing Academy.
