Home Hardware, the SPCA and John St. urge Quebecers to remember all their belongings this Moving Day.
Here’s a shocking fact to break your Monday: 1,600 pets are reportedlyy left in homes by their owners when they move house on the busiest moving day of the year in Quebec (July 1st). That’s right: 1,600 heartless souls leave their furry friends behind.
So to get people to think about man’s best friend, kitties and bunnies (you know, the cutest of all domesticated pets), Home Hardware partnered with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), along with agency John St., to create clever little boxes that are shaped like household pets.
Not only are the boxes being used in a neat little stop-motion spot, but will also be used to collect donations for the SPCA near the checkout in Home Hardware stores in Montreal.
