Becel puts mothers front and centre.

These new spots for Unilever’s Becel, by DDB, put moms at the heart of the latest campaign. The first video is a tear-inducing spot with kids reading to an audience why their moms are so great. The second tells moms it’s okay if they slack on some motherly duties (such as helping kids finish their science projects or that it’s okay to paint a room just blue), so long as they take time to take care of themselves. It was pointed out to us that it’s similar to Agency59’s spot a few years back for the Egg Farmers of Ontario (check below). Clearly, encouraging moms to take time for themselves is a recurring theme.
