The path to awards night

Two of Canada’s regional advertising awards shows have gone to different ends of the creative process to let people know entries are open.

The campaign for Ad Rodeo, which opens up entries to Alberta advertisers on Dec. 21, was developed by the creatives that make up the Ad Rodeo’s board with help from photographer Brendan Stephens. These photos demonstrate that feeling you get when you come up with the idea that’s going to finally get you that Anvil.

And for the campaign promoting Quebec’s Crea awards program (the deadline for which is approaching on Dec. 11), agency Brad went straight to awards night. Its posters show there’s only little things standing between Quebec creatives and the Crea awards stage — be it another focus group, a “Joe La Pompe”-esque idea thief or the pile of trophies Lg2’s Luc Du Sault has carelessly left laying around.
