From Nissan with love

Juniper Park makes the Sentra's safety tech look like something out of a spy movie.

The amount of tech being worked into the dashboards of new cars makes it feel more and more like we’re driving something out of a futuristic movie. But maybe automakers should be looking to a different genre to get inspiration for the next big thing.

This new ad by Juniper Park\TBWA for the Nissan Sentra shows a well-dressed, dashing secret agent type make his escape from a fancy party and attempt to evade his pursuers all while music that resembles a typical James Bond soundtrack plays. Part of what helps him get away – and what the spot is highlighting – is Nissan’s “safety shield” tech, which detects and alerts drivers to potential hazards. Our hero eventually uses it in a way the rest of us might be familiar with: having to brake suddenly or avoiding backing into another vehicle.
