Plantable coasters

This Molson idea could grow big.

Restaurant coasters provide hours of bar fun for people with fidgety fingers. But Molson has found a new use for them: trees. As part of its Red Leaf Project, Molson released these plantable coasters that could grow into black spruce trees. The coasters, while not actually available in restaurants, were available in specially marked packaging. We hope these actually get planted and not tossed or shredded by accident. But our only complaint – shouldn’t these be growing into maple trees?
