Hockey season is now in full swing, which means it’s time once again for casual fans to deal with their worst nightmare: keeping up with the lingo. Clapper? Bucket? Gordie Howe hat trick? Luckily for Sport Chek, it has NHL superstar Sidney Crosby at its disposal. Shot at an arena in his home town of Halifax, Sid the Kid runs down 50 words and phrases that hold a special meaning for hockey fans — not to mention it serves as a handy list for you to start reading if you want to know what everyone else is talking about. Notch Video also shot a series of interviews (below) with Crosby in between takes on the ice, so you can see how people can be passionate about a sport that requires the use of the phrase “mucker” in casual conversation.
