Canadian creatives (you) now have a contest that isn’t burdened with annoying rules like ‘creative that actually ran somewhere in the last calendar year for a legit client’. Carte Blanche for Creatives allows you to work without restrictions, without briefs, harnessing your creative prowess to craft the kind of work you always wished you could, work that will be judged solely by peers: agency and freelance creatives. The contest, developed by Montreal-based Astral Media Outdoor, will feature one massive cacophony of creativity. Until April 18, creatives can join the Carte Blanche community, here, and then submit original creations, share reference campaigns, comment and discuss with peers. The winner will have his or her work displayed in an outdoor campaign and win a trip for two to the Cannes Lions Advertising Festival. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to us.
