This commercial and the accompanying print ad were produced by Montreal-based agency Alfred to promote La Grande Guignolée des Médias, a food drive running from Nov. 22 to Dec. 24 in Quebec. It’s supported by Loblaws, Laurentien Bank, Maxi, Provigo and Jean Coutu, all of which think that without generous people donating this holiday season, they won’t be able to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the food drive with people in need. You have to have cake to celebrate. Candles, albeit floating one, don’t do the job on their own.
