The Aflac duck had lost his voice. It happened after much-maligned comic Gilbert Gottfried made inappropriate comments on his Twitter account following the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. He was quickly fired and a search for the new voice of one of TV’s most famous mascots began. It criss-crossed the U.S. with thousands vying to be the voice until finally finding it in Hugo, Minnesota. It was there that 36-year-old Dan McKeague received a phone call that would change his life.
