Dead aquarium
Acqua Mundo displays the true state of the ocean.

More than one ton of garbage: that’s how much Brazilian aquarium Acqua Mundo and Leo Burnett Brazil collected from a popular beach resort during the country’s busy tourist season. Makes you wonder if there are no garbage receptacles stationed around. Or perhaps there’s a fair number of tourists who really don’t give a second thought to the impact leaving trash lying about will have on the ocean they’re swimming in. To get that point across, the aquarium put on a fish-less temporary exhibit, replacing the animals with the garbage from the beach. Hopefully those who left the sand for a visit to the display twill think twice about leaving wrappers and bottles behind.
