Swatch you doing with that wall?

This itty-bitty device lets you scan anything and steal its colour value.

If someone ever places a little white cube on the wooly red sweater you’re sporting that day, don’t be alarmed. They’re probably just scanning the hues and tones for their next design project.

Some clever creatives out of Australia came up with the idea to create the SwatchMate device, which can literally scan anything and steal its RGB code for whatever use. For example, a designer could place the cube against a wall with blue graffiti, press a button, and voila, have the colour code sent to their iPhone to be pasted in whatever design they please. As if Photoshop swatches weren’t enough, now we have the world to spoil us with choice.
