The Canadian Film Fest, which begins today in Toronto, likes to think it presents films that provide something a bit different from the same old things we’re used to seeing on the big screen. But who knows, maybe there’s some value in having a cadre of actors who know the perfect time to split up when the murderer is on the loose, or how to convincingly attack a hero one at a time, or demand a cop turn in their badge and gun with real gusto. After all, as this spot from JWT explains, these things have a proven track record since they’ve been done a million times before, so who wouldn’t want to see it done all over again? (Answer: people who like good movies).
