Not so long ago, in a galaxy not so far, far away, R2-D2 and C-3PO decided to break into a Currys & PC World Megastore and run amuck in the middle of the night, playing vids and cavorting with little vacuum bots. Given the fact that the British chain’s dubbed itself ‘the greatest electrical store in our galaxy’ we can see why the two droids might want to pop in for a visit. We also understand why they would break in at night – having to answer all the technical queries of a legion of overzealous, undersexed fanboys would be a fate worse than decommissioning. What we can’t fathom is the amount of money the chain must have paid George Lucas so that M&C Saatchi could create this ad for them. Given that they’re still in business we figure it must’ve only cost the store owners their souls.
