Coca-Cola and the World Wildlife Fund have probably come up with the most environmentally friendly billboard ever. The 60-by-60-foot billboard is located in the Philippines and absorbs air pollution. It’s covered in Fukien tea plants, which can apparently breathe in a total of 46,800 pounds of carbon dioxide. That’s some serious heavy breathing. The plants are potted in 3,600 old Coke bottles, the planting material is made from industrial byproducts and organic fertilizers, and it incorporates a drip irrigation system to help save on water and fertilizer. Now that is definitely thinking green.
