Abandoned

Chipotle tells of the plight of the American farmer.

Commissioned by Chipotle Mexican Grill’s Chipotle Cultivate Foundation, this film aims to raise awareness about the financial difficulties that family farmers face in the increasingly industrialized American agriculture system. Developed by CAA Marketing and directed by David Altobelli, the film follows three boys who break into an abandoned farmhouse late at night. As they run rampant throughout the house, sometimes engaging in acts of vandalism, they start to realize that maybe the family that left the house in such a hurry wasn’t too different from their own. We can’t blame anyone for wanting to leave a house like that as fast as possible. We bet it even looks haunted during the day. The film features a cover of Willie Nelson’s “Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys” by Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
