STDs are open for business

Women's Fund of Omaha is raising awareness with fake stores.

Omaha, Nebraska has some of the highest STD rates in the U.S., something the Women’s Fund of Omaha is looking to change through its Adolescent Health Project. To help them in their fight, Serve Marketing is launching a series of fake storefronts across the city (complete with cheesy, buzzword-heavy local ads for the businesses) during National STD Awarness Month in April. Anyone who actually tries to go to a convenience store called Painful Itch N’ Go will be given information about STD prevention, and the spots drive to the Get Checked Omaha website. The spots are a bit cringe-inducing and painful to sit through at times…but then again, chlamydia would be too.
