Pesky road hazards be gone

Land Rover drivers can report potholes without moving a muscle.

Is Land Rover becoming the Google Maps of potholes? That’s what it looks like, now that the car company has outfitted its Range Rover Evoque and Discovery Sport vehicles with technology that uses sensors to monitor and geo-locate potholes and recessed manholes on the roads. The data is then sent to the cloud and can be used to alert other drivers of the pesky hazards. Taking it up one extra notch, the brand is even reporting to holes to city officials upon their discovery, putting pressure on them to fix the issue. Who knew a car company could be so neighbourly?
