British designer and retailer Wren Kitchens shows what's really happening behind the Instagram filters.

We’ve all seen them; most of us have probably crafted some of our own: the carefully cropped food porn that gets just enough in the frame to inspire wonder and envy and make mouths water, while shrewdly omitting the mess just beyond.

British retailer Wren Kitchens partnered with five influential parent bloggers to expose the lie. The campaign is called “A Kitchen Lived In.” It’s a neat exposé of the messy reality behind the painstakingly crafted perception shared on social media, and a reminder that we can all relax about our own littered countertops.
