Emergency room and medical TV series: if you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all. Even so, there’s no denying that many of us look forward to and watch them religiously each season.

For those of you relating right now, prepare to be tickled by this commercial from Cigna Health Insurance, which puts all of your favourite faux docs back in scrubs.

While we’re used to seeing these on-screen actors, well, on screen, play-acting the parts of medical professionals, we don’t get to see them playing the part of themselves admitting to their lack of know-how when it comes to doctor procedures (let along their unease around fresh blood). But that’s what these docs from Grey’s Anatomy (Patrick Dempsey), ER (Noah Wyle), M*A*S*H (Alan Alda), House (Lisa Edelstein) and Scrubs (Donald Faison) happily admit in the spot that says, sure, technically they don’t know how to save lives, but they know who does and implore Americans to see one (before they think of seeing them).
