What’s this? What’s this? Yetis on skates

Argos delivers in its Christmas campaign featuring some colourful couriers.

The Nightmare Before Christmas, Tim Burton’s 1993 stop-motion animated movie, should be on most best Christmas movie lists. British online retailer Argos is borrowing one of the film’s more memorable songs and adding some un-scary monsters of its own in its yuletide campaign.

The new spot features five neon yetis skating through a wintry town, delivering Christmas gifts at high velocity, highlighting the brand’s Fast Track Delivery service. The secret to their speed? The Yetis are played by a group that knows how to skate: British figure skating champion Peter Hallam, ice skaters George Southall and Adrian Jack, and hockey players Brad Slade and Kevin McGlynn.

The campaign is supported in print, online and on social, with yeti appearances also planned.
