Gucci unveils a custom animoji

The animated Boston terrier heads are a tie-in to the brand's Year of the Dog campaign.

Gucci now has another accolade to add to the brand’s long line of accomplishments: the very first fashion brand to create its own custom animoji.

The animoji, available exclusively to iPhone 8 and X users, is modeled after Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele’s Boston terriers (Bosco and Orso), and were designed by London-based artist Unskilled Worker.

Users can create videos of the dog speaking and moving to match their own movements and share them on social media. The custom animojis are tied to Gucci’s Chinese New Year campaign, since it is, after all, the Year of the Dog.
