Vans gives girls the power of skateboarding
The clothing and lifestyle brand's new "Girls Skate India" campaign shows that you can kick butt whoever you are and wherever you come from.

Sports brand Vans has unveiled the latest chapter of its global brand campaign, “This is Off the Wall,” taking the campaign to India with the “Girls Skate India” initiative.
“This is Off the Wall” has been ongoing since 2017 and focuses on highlighting diverse sports, arts and style stories from around the world.
“Girls Skate India” presents an emotional narrative of female skateboarders inspiring and empowering the next generation in India through skateboarding and other activities that aren’t seen as traditionally “girly.” Vans athletes’ Lizzie Armanto (pictured) and Atita Verghese help the young girls gain confidence and express themselves through the activity while promoting Vans’ brand and advocacy work.
Beginning March 8 (International Women’s Day), Vans will embark on a series of global skate clinics specifically to teach women and girls how to skateboard. Clinics will take place in Brooklyn, Chicago, London, St. Petersburg, Shanghai, Bangalore, Mexico City and more.
