For Missing Person’s Week, the Australian Federal Police and Aussie agency VML launched the Missing Person’s Pre-Roll project. The super-annoying pre-roll ads (that force you to sit through them for five seconds before you can skip), have been made useful, with voice-over asking if you’ve seen the person on the screen. The “Skip” button was changed to read “Yes I have” or “No I haven’t” and the ads were geo-targeted to the person’s last known location. These are ads we don’t actually want to skip.
