Great Balls of Light

To promote the return of the U.K.’s National Lottery, the gaming corporation floated six giant balls (supposedly larger than a double-decker bus), each lit up (requiring their own energy source) down the River Thames. What is it with giant floating balls lately in the U.K.? Also, if the winning numbers happen to be 7, 38, 25, 49, 10 and 20, we seriously hope someone calls foul.
