To prove that nothing in life is free, Newcastle Brown Ale and Droga5 recently offered drinking drivers in Los Angeles a lift home in a famous British black cab. In exchange, the passenger had to advertise the beer’s Cabbie Black Ale during their ride…over a giant megaphone. Some of the lines are chuckle-inducing, but we wonder how many people trying to sleep found it amusing? Newcastle thinks it was worth the trouble. The brand received 67 noise complaints, according to the video, but also got 54 beer drinkers home safely. And the message was received, whether people wanted to hear it or not.
